DAAD Research Grants - Germany

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is one of the world's largest funding organisations for the international exchange of students and researchers. DAAD Research Grants support excellent foreign academics who wish to undertake research stays of one to 10 months at a state or state-recognized German institution of higher education or non-university research institute. Germany is home to some of the world's finest research universities and research institutes, and the country has no tuition fees for international students at public universities. The monthly scholarship rates are EUR 861 for doctoral candidates and EUR 1,200 for postdoctoral researchers. The grants also include a health insurance contribution, travel allowance, and in some cases family allowance.
